The ESDK or EADK CIP Safety “Extension” is an optional add-on that provides the connection-related functionality and API to provide EtherNet/IP communications to the HMS / IXXAT (“HMS”) CIP Safety protocol stack (CSS), which must be licensed separately from HMS. All CIP Safety protocol is handled by the HMS CSS only and the EtherNet/IP communications are provided by the ESDK or EADK.
The CIP Safety Extension is a collection of source files that are linked with the EADK or ESDK and the HMS CSS.
The ExDK-SAFETY option comes with 12 months of download access to the latest version and built in phone / email tech support.
Additional services options are available to assist you with EtherNet/IP requirements, design, ExDK-SAFETY stack integration, pre-conformance testing, and more.

The CANopen Driver Packages are the driver modules of the CANopen Library by port. The Driver Packages are the keys for the usage of the target system independent protocol library. They are designed for both target systems with and without operation systems.

The CANopen Driver Packages (DP) provide access to the hardware of the CANopen Library of port. The Driver Packages are the keys for the usage of the target system independent of CANopen Library. They are designed for target systems with and without operation systems.

While the largest part of the CANopen protocol stack is written in 100% portable ANSI-C, there is still the driver package, which is partly tailored to be used with specific compilers and tool chains. This is caused by different methods of acessing the hardware or defining interrupt service routines.

ANSI-C software modules to extend the CANopen Library functionality by special functions and other CiA profiles.

Besides the standardization of communication objects CANopen specifies application objects used in various device profiles. These device profiles guarantee a defined device behavior and provide thereby interchangeability of CANopen devices.

For employment of these profiles port provides extension modules for its CANopen Library. These modules make it possible to use the desired device profiles easily.
